Teaching

My teaching career included AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and Honors Chemistry, with an emphasis on inquiry-based learning, curriculum development, assessment, and student research. I taught at The Episcopal Academy and Tower Hill School.


The College Board

For more than two decades, I worked with the College Board as an AP Biology Educational Consultant. My work included leading teacher workshops and professional development, contributing to curriculum and assessment, and writing and reviewing AP Biology exam questions.
 

I also participated in the annual AP Biology Exam Reading and served in scoring leadership as a Table Leader and Question Leader, helping oversee scoring for assigned exam questions and supporting consistency and quality in the scoring process.


Student Research & Curriculum
 

Throughout my career, I worked to connect classroom science with authentic investigation and research. My interests included laboratory inquiry, student-centered scientific investigation, assessment design, and helping students develop the analytical skills required for advanced science study.
